Reach Out and Read
Thrive Pediatrics is proud to be part of the Reach Out and Read (ROR) family of literacy providers! Reading with your child promotes healthy brain development, helps children reach their language milestones and creates a special bond. We want to share the power of reading with our patients and their families.
What does this mean? At every well visit between the ages of 6 months to 5 years, your child will get a new book that they get to keep! Fun stuff!

and now serves 4.6 million children across the country. Their award-winning program has been shown to make a significant impact on early literacy in children.
Prescription for Play
Thrive Pediatrics is proud to be a part of the Lego Foundation Prescription for Play program. Children learn through playing and during their early childhood years, their
brain grows and develops rapidly! Playing with your child helps build their problem- solving skills, it encourages communication and teaches them confidence. In addition,
by building blocks, your child can learn colors and improve their fine-motor skills. What does this mean? When your child comes for their 18 months well child visit, they will
receive a Lego toy that they get to keep. Fun stuff!
