Policies & Guidelines
At Thrive Pediatrics, we are committed to providing the best care for your child while maintaining transparent policies. Please review our guidelines to ensure a smooth experience.
Financial Policies:
We accept most major health plans and most forms of payment including cash, check and major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, or American Express). We make every effort to provide the most necessary medical services as recommended by evidence and best practice guidelines while keeping in mind the cost and benefit of each decision. While most of our services are covered in full by insurance carriers, some are not. It is your responsibility to ensure that your health insurance is active and that you understand your contract with the insurance company with regards to co-pays, covered charges, deductibles and other information.
- It is your responsibility to ensure that your health insurance is active and that you understand your contract with the insurance company with regards to co-pays, covered charges, deductibles and other information.
- Any questions or disputes regarding a particular service or procedure should be directed to your insurance carrier.
- Payment in full is required at the time of service, including services that are not a covered benefit of your insurance plan. A card on file is required at the time of visit and authorizes Thrive Pediatrics to charge the card the balance after all insurances have been processed.
- Self-pay: if you do not have insurance, please ask about our self-pay options.
- If you are experiencing financial hardship and unable to pay a balance in full, Thrive Pediatrics can help set up a Payment Plan Contract. Please inquire about this option; proof of financial hardship will be required.
- We will happily fill out health forms (such as sports physicals and health appraisals) as part of a scheduled visit. All other forms (such as FMLA or physician letters) requested outside of a scheduled visit will be assessed a $20 flat fee.
- A returned check will be charged a $20 fee.
- An outside collections agency may be utilized to secure payments on past-due accounts.
For billing inquiries, contact our billing department at (248) 215-0048 or elitemedicalbilling@embpm.com
